It’s no secret we love starting our day with a cup of our organic coffee. Now it’s your turn to grab yourself a cup and read on for some fun coffee day facts to help celebrate this special holiday with us!

  1. It’s unclear exactly when International Coffee Day began, and different countries celebrate the holiday on different days of the year. However, it truly is an international affair—celebrated in countries ranging from Nepal to Japan. Other countries celebrating with the United States today include England, Canada and Sweden!
  2. The holiday was first officially referred to as ‘International Coffee Day’ by the Southern Food and Beverage Museum, a non-profit museum in Louisiana that is dedicated to promoting traditional southern American cuisine.
  3. Indonesia celebrates International Coffee Day on August 17, which is also their independence day!
