Blueberry Bliss Smoothie with Crunola

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup raw almonds, soaked overnight in water and peeled
  • 1/2 ripe banana, frozen
  • 1 small kiwi
  • 2/3 cup coconut water
  • Crunola® raw granola

Blueberry Bliss Smoothie with Crunola

This berry-licious sensation is one of my favorite recipes, and super easy to make! Play an artist and decorate the smoothie with fruit, or simply fill up a mason jar, and you've got a great healthy breakfast that you can bring to the office, to the park, or to the gym.

The key to being a Breakfast Criminal (i.e. eating healthy superfood breakfasts) is finding the foods that work for you, and making sure you always have them in your pantry or freezer. Crunola is my go-to when it comes to giving a new dimension to a smoothie or creating the perfect coconut yogurt parfait. 

To prepare, simply blend all of the fruit with the raw almonds and coconut water. For maximum creaminess, soak the almonds overnight in filtered water and then peel the skin off. It comes off easily once the nuts have been soaked! Top with Crunola and additional fruit slices if desired. This breakfast has digestive enzymes, electrolytes, antioxidants, omega-3s, magnesium, zinc and vitamin C.
