Quinoa Porridge



For the Porridge:

  • 1.5 cups quinoa
  • 4 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

To Garnish:

  • Chopped Almonds
  • Scoop of ricotta

With a filling and protein-packed boost from superfood quinoa, this take on classic hot cereal is as healthy as it is comforting. Follow these easy steps and we have a feeling this porridge will become a favorite breakfast staple.


  1. Rinse the quinoa. Combine the quinoa, almond milk, cinnamon, raisins and maple syrup in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
  3. Lower the heat to a simmer, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  5. Scoop 2 cups of the finished quinoa into a bowl, top with a dollop of ricotta, the chopped almonds and a drizzle of maple syrup.
