Bakery Classes FAQ

Bakery Classes FAQ

What if I have never baked before?

We welcome bakers of all skill levels from beginner to advanced to all of our Bread & Pastry classes.  All classes are inclusive of a review of ingredient selection, technique, and much more for all guests to learn.

What class should I take first?

We offer a variety of Bread & Pastry classes covering a wide spectrum of interests. Prior baking knowledge, or experience is always helpful, but not required in any way.

How many students are in each class?

The exact number will vary but we keep our bakery classes small and intimate to ensure all students receive plenty of hands-on experience and one-on-one instruction from our bakers.

What is the minimum age to participate?

Students must be at least 13 years of age to attend our bakery classes.

How long are the classes and how much do they cost?

Our classes vary in length and price.  Please check the individual class descriptions found in the online calendar for specifics.

What if I have a food allergy?

Please be mindful that our bakery is not gluten, nut or dairy-free and we ask that if you have a severe allergy that you err on the side of caution and do not take the risk. If you do have a food allergy, please email us at classes@lepainquotidien.com in advance of registering to ensure our instructors are aware of your allergy and accommodations can be made if possible.

When are classes posted?

Class calendar changes and updates often occur weekly.  We encourage you to check back with us often to view and/or register for your desired class.

What is included in my registration fee?

Every class includes knowledgeable and convivial instruction from one of our seasoned bakers on the topic of your choice. At the conclusion of each class, every student will leave with the fruits of their labor to enjoy with family and friends as well as the recipes covered in class.

I registered for a class but didn’t receive a confirmation email?

If you have not received a confirmation email, then you have not fully completed the registration process and your spot is not reserved. Most likely, you did not complete the payment portion of registration through PayPal and you should register again. If you are having an issue please verify that your credit card has not been charged for the class and email classes@lepainquotidien.com.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require written notice prior to the scheduled class for all withdrawal and reschedule requests: at least two weeks written withdrawal notice for a full refund.  A class reschedule will be issued with written notice given 4-13 days before the scheduled class. Upon approval and seating availability determined by the Bakery, guests may attend at a later date.  No refund, nor reschedule will be given for 72 hours or less written notice.  Guests may transfer their class to a friend, upon prior written notice to the Bakery. Because all of our classes require significant preparations, no exceptions will be made to this policy.  We appreciate your understanding.  We reserve the right to cancel a class (for low enrollment, inclement weather, etc.). In such cases, a full refund will be issued and the registered student will be contacted via the phone and/or email provided at registration.

Do you have a waitlist?

We do not have a waitlist and encourage you to view our class calendar for upcoming changes and additions.

Do you have gift certificates?

We invite you to purchase class gift cards directly on our class calendar site.  Gift cards purchased on the class calendar site may be used for direct class registration online.  Online registration is required for all of our Bread & Pastry classes.

Can I purchase a class as a gift?

Absolutely.  Guests may purchase gift cards directly on our class calendar site and insert the name and contact number of the “giftee” at purchase.
