Abdullah has been a cherished presence at Le Pain Quotidien in Dubai Mall for almost 9 years, and since the restaurant reopened in 2016, he has continued to be a constant and beloved figure. What started as a humble presence has blossomed into something truly special: Abdullah has become a father figure to the staff, earning the admiration and respect of everyone who crosses his path.
A Welcoming and Familiar Face
Recognizable by his friendly demeanor and ever-present smile, Abdullah is more than just a regular guest; he’s a part of the family. He can always be seen enjoying a cup of our organic drip coffee or sipping on a fresh avocado juice-both prepared with the utmost care by our baristas-whenever he visits. His visits are a bright spot in the day, not only because of his warmth but also because of his unique passion.
Always carrying a paintbrush or charcoal, Abdullah is known for creating beautiful murals that capture the attention of both guests and staff alike. Many customers stop to watch him work, curious about his process and often chatting with him about his art. Over the years, a select few lucky employees and visitors have even been gifted portraits drawn by Abdullah himself, a small but meaningful gesture that speaks volumes about his generosity.

A Moment of Recognition
His kindness and unwavering positivity are a source of inspiration to all of us. Abdullah has a way of making everyone feel seen and valued, motivating us to go the extra mile in delivering the best guest experience possible. His presence in the restaurant reminds us of the power of small acts of kindness and the importance of creating a welcoming, warm atmosphere for everyone.
In 2022, our CEO Annick and FD Global Director Martin had the pleasure of meeting Abdullah during their market visit to Dubai, a moment that only deepened their appreciation for the man who has touched so many hearts in the Le Pain Quotidien community.
In Conclusion
Abdullah
Abdullah's influence extends far beyond his artistic talent. His spirit, his energy, and his genuine care for those around him continue to leave a lasting impact. Every visit he makes is a reminder of the beauty of human connection-and that’s something we’ll always cherish at Le Pain Quotidien.
