Located in the Yorkville section of the Upper East Side, we are within walking distance of Gracie Mansion and Carl Schurz Park on the East River. While our store may be one of the smallest in the LPQ family, it certainly does not lack in rustic warmth, with whimsical touches throughout our quaint space. In addition to our characteristic pieces of reclaimed Belgian millwork, the entryway is enhanced with a herringbone brick pattern while a cast-iron window wall separates the dining room.
Simplicity According to Alain
Our founderAlain Coumont was born into a family of cooks. His grandparents had a restaurant, his father was a chef, and his aunt Simone was a talented pâtissier who baked tarts every Saturday for the whole family to devour on Sunday. When he was 6 years old, Alain began reading from the two cookbooks on the shelf at home. He taught himself to cook by reading recipes and hints from famous chefs.
